As we have spent so much time on filming we are slightly behind schedule on editing. We used today to catch up.

Editing:
We didnt so very much editing in this lesson because we felt as though we did not have very much time. We decided to focus on the four flashback shots. These turned out to be only a total of 4 seconds but by using dip to whites we made this look very effective.

How did we do this?

1. We separated our footage and placed it at the beginning of our timeline.

2. We cut out long shots and kept the most effective ones

3. We had to cut each shot down to the minimal this was very hard to get right as each shot had to be 1 second each.

4. Using the effects tool, we dragged over a black and white technique. (We wanted to use black and white in all of our flashbacks to separate this from our original story line)

5. We then added a dip to white in between every shot, this made it snappy and attractive
